I’ve been interested in the paranormal for as long as I can remember, and have been involved in paranormal research and ghost hunting for 5.
I’ve always been interested in the technological aspect of investigations and am always trying to come up with new ways to prove the existence
of paranormal phenomenon.

I’ve been interested in the paranormal honestly as far back as I can remember. Even the books I read when I was ten years old were “scary”… ones like “The Scariest Stories to Tell in the Dark” and “True Ghost Stories” and several variations of that. I cannot remember one single event when I was young that happened to make me truly focus on the unexplained side of life (other than some weird things happening in my old house), but I do remember it always being a part of me since, oh… birth.
I have not had extensive training from seminars or classes in ghost hunting or in the paranormal per say, but I do have extensive knowledge from my own research and others’ stories growing up. Although I am a healthy skeptic I do believe indefinitely that there is something beyond our understanding and that sometimes you can tap into it… or whatever it is can tap into you.

I have been interested in the paranormal for as long as I can remember. My purpose for joining MVP is to learn and discover as much information about the paranormal in a professional environment as I can. I have always had a genuine desire to help other people by sharing knowledge and to be able to combine that with my own interest in the paranormal is exciting to me. I do consider myself to be a skeptic in that I feel that any activity that is happening needs to try to be explained as something that can happen naturally. When thing are found that can’t be explained it’s just simply interesting.

I’ve been interested in the paranormal & unexplained since I can remember. I watch & read anything I can find on the subjects. I’ve wanted to join an experienced paranormal group for a long time but only just recently found Mississippi Valley Paranomal. I noticed on their website that they were planning an investigation where I live so I contacted them to see if perhaps I could tag along. They were really great and allowed me to investigate with them so, my first investigation was at the Grand Opera House in Dubuque. It was really interesting seeing & using all the equipement so, needless to say I was hooked. I look forward to learning and experiencing as much as I can in the scientific research of the paranormal. I would consider myself a skeptic with the understanding that perhaps we don’t fully understand everything & maybe we’re not suppose to.
My interest in the paranormal began when I was pretty young. It started as a fascination with UFOs and aliens and bloomed into interest in ghosts, urban legends, unexplained stories, and all sorts of other mysteries. I became interested in investigating these things in 1999 when I spent some time in a local apartment complex which has long been rumored to have paranormal activity. In 2004, when the TV show “Ghost Hunters” hit the air, I realized that there were people out there who shared my interest in researching and unveiling the truth behind paranormal activity. MVP member and co-founder Becky Reid and I spent some time doing a few impromptu investigations in places that interested us because of a history of claims of activity and the results were amazing. It was enough to spark the interest for Becky to help form this group. While I became too busy with nursing school to participate in investigations anymore, my interest never waned. When the opportunity finally came again for me to be able to investigate with MVP, I jumped at the chance. I look forward to putting my “people skills” to work in future investigations and helping assist folks with claims of paranormal activity in their homes and businesses.
